This is a free, super simple pattern to make an adorable tiny whale plush toy!
This Tiny Whale Pattern is the perfect project to use up those small balls of leftover yarn and it works up so fast that you'll find yourself making a small army of them! I find they're perfect for market prep or stocking stuffers. Make them into keychains or bookmarks or keep them as they are. Materials Needed:
Abbreviations:
mr- magic ring
st- stitch
sc- single crochet
inc- increase
ss- slip stitch
hdc- half double crochet
dec- decrease
FLO- front loops only
FO- finish off/fasten off
Round 1: mr 6 sc [6]
Round 2: inc x 6 [12]
Round 3: (sc 1, inc)x6 [18]
Rounds 4-6: (3 rounds) sc around [18]
Round 7: ss in the front loop of the 1st st, place a ch 3, in the 2nd ch from hook place a hdc and then a sc in the next ch, ss into same front loop and repeat once more in the same loop to complete the tail.
Sc 4. Ss into front loop of next st, place a sc, hdc, sc, ss all into same front loop. Sc 7, ss into front loop of next st, place a sc, hdc, sc, ss all into same front loop, sc 4
Switch to white
Round 8: in back loops of round 7, (sc 1, dec)x6, make sure to include the left over back loops from the fin stitches we did in round 7 [12]
Place safety eyes between rounds 6 and 7, just above the front edge of either fin. Begin stuffing here.
Round 9: dec x6 [6]
FO, weave in tail.
