Hey crochet friends! Welcome back to another Free Pattern Friday! This pumpkin set amigurumi pattern is super quick and easy and is the perfect addition to any Halloween or autumn decor!

This pumpkin set amigurumi pattern will make three different sizes of pumpkins: small (3in tall), medium (3.5in tall), and large (4.5in tall). You can easily change the sizes of these pumpkins by adding or taking away rows in the middle of the pumpkins or changing the yarn and hook size! They look great in an array of different colors and are such a fun decor piece!

Pumpkins are just so fun, but here in Oregon, I feel like they're pretty short-lived because once you carve them they rot pretty fast. Funny thing, last year Mr. Cutiepie and I went and did the whole pumpkin patch thing and got our own giant carving pumpkins and were so excited to carve them when we got home. We, however, did not end up carving pumpkins... no, in fact, life happened and those pumpkins sat right in the entrance of the garage until this spring, when we realized we had totally forgotten to even put them out for Halloween. They weren't even in a hidden part of the garage either! Luckily for us, the pumpkins had only just started to go soft, so we avoided any major catastrophe. This year I decided we'll be having some fake pumpkins to avoid any potential pumpkin messes! so, let's grab our supplies and get to making some pumpkins, shall we??

Assembly:

The first part of the assembly is adding the bumps and is my absolute FAVORITE part! You can add as many or as few bumps as you want and you don’t have to make sure they’re the same size (unless you want to of course).

-Using a yarn needle and the extra long tail from the pumpkin, bring the needle up through the middle of the pumpkin and out the top. Then bring the yarn in a straight line down the side of the pumpkin and insert it back into the middle of the bottom and then back through the top, pulling tight (but not so tight you snap the yarn). Bring the yarn straight down a few stitches away, insert it in the bottom middle, and bring it back up through the top. You’ve just created your first bump! Repeat this step to make as many bumps as you want. I usually don't keep track of how many stitches are in each bump, I personally like to make them all slightly different because it looks a little more natural and less uniform.

- All that’s left to do is attach the stems to your pumpkins and you’re all done and this is how they should end up looking:

I hope you have fun making your pumpkins and if you do, you should tag me on Instagram @cutiepie_crochet and show me your finished plushies! <3
