***You can purchase an INEXPENSIVE AD-FREE PDF of this pattern on Etsy! The pattern is concise, downloadable, and printable and your purchase helps me to continue putting out free patterns!***

This is a free and easy, relatively beginner-friendly pattern to make a super cute Mini Amigurumi Cauldron! Grab your hooks and yarn and make some little caldrons for your Witch Plush or turn them into keychains!

Today's free pattern is one I am very excited to share with you- I know, I know, I'm always excited to share a new pattern with you, but I am VERY excited about this one! I originally made this mini cauldron amigurumi pattern to go with all of the Halloween-themed plushies we made last year, but I ran out of time before the end of the season. I hope the wait will have been worth it! Let's get to crocheting some mini bubbling cauldrons, shall we?

~If you have any questions about the pattern, or you just want to send me a picture of your finished project please contact me at contact.cutiepiecrochet@gmail.com! Feel free to make and sell these, but please do not mass produce! If you would like to share this pattern, please link to this page, but do not reprint it on your site. Also, please credit me when using this pattern by tagging me @cutiepie_crochet on Instagram. Thanks, and have lots of fun making your new plushie friend!~

Materials Needed:

  • Worsted weight yarn (size 4) in the colors of your choice

  • Polyester Fiber Fill

  • 3.75mm crochet hook

  • Yarn needle

  • Scissors

  • Stitch markers

  • Pins

Abbreviations:

  • Mr- magic ring

  • St- stitch

  • Sc- single crochet

  • Inc- increase (sc twice in one stitch)

  • Dec- decrease (sc two stitches together)

  • BLO- sc in back loops only

  • FLO- sc in front loops only

Before you begin:

  • For the bobble st, I like to have five loops on my hook before pulling through, but you can do however many you like. Doing fewer loops will make the bobbles smaller and doing more will make the bobbles bigger.

Cauldron Base:

Round 1: mr 6 [6]

Round 2: inc x6 [12]

Round 3: (sc 1, inc, bobble st, inc)x3 [18]

Round 4: BLO sc 1, inc, (sc 2, inc)x5, sc 1 [24]

Round 5: (sc 3, inc)x6 [30]

Round 6: sc 2, inc, (sc 4, inc)x5, sc 2 [36]

Rounds 7-10: (4 rounds) sc around [36]

Round 11: sc 2, dec, (sc 4, dec)x5, sc 2 [30]

Round 12: FLO sc 1, place st marker on leftover back loop, sc 1, inc, (sc 4, inc)x5, sc 2 [36]

Rounds 13-14: (2 rounds) sc around [36]

Round 15: sc 2, dec, (sc 4, dec)x5, sc 2 [30]

To finish the cauldron base:

Ss round 15 through the back loops left over from round 11. This part can be kind of fiddly, so take your time, I promise it’s worth the effort! If you find it easier, you may flip the cauldron inside out to do the ss around, just be sure to flip it right side out when you’re all finished! Tie off and hide tail.

Cauldron Bubbles:

Round 1: mr 6 [6]

Round 2: (inc, sc 1, bobble st in same st)x3 [12]

Round 3: (sc 1, inc)x6 [18]

Round 4: (sc 2, inc, bobble st, sc 1, inc)x3 [24]

Round 5: (sc 1, bobble st, sc 1, inc, sc 3, inc)x3 [30]

Tie off leaving a long tail for sewing. Sew into the inside of the cauldron through the ss loops from the last step of the cauldron base. Stuff the cauldron before sewing up completely.

That’s it! I really hope you enjoy making your Mini Cauldron!
