Duckling Pattern

Updated: Aug 20

Hey everyone! It’s time for another free pattern and I think this one is just perfect for Easter! I made this pattern all the way back in 2017 and it kind of just got abandoned in my pattern notebook, mostly finished, but not quite. So, this year I decided I am going to finish it! Now, almost six whole years later I get to share my duckling pattern with you and I am so excited!

This little cute plushie is so cuddly and squishy and I just love it so much! I think it would make a perfect addition to an Easter basket or a pastel-colored room! So, let’s grab our yarn and our crochet hooks and get into this pattern!!

~If you have any questions about the pattern, or you just want to send me a picture of your finished project please contact me at contact.cutiepiecrochet@gmail.com! Feel free to make and sell these, but please do not mass produce! If you would like to share this pattern, please link to this page, but do not reprint it on your site. Also, please credit me when using this pattern by tagging me @cutiepie_crochet on Instagram. Thanks, and have lots of fun making your new plushie friend!~

Now that you have all of your pieces, it’s time for assembly! First, attach the head to the body. After that’s finished, I like to add the beak! I like to place it on the row just below the eyes, right in the center, and then pin the beak in just a slightly rounded shape before sewing down. Then it’s time for the legs and the tail so our duck friend can sit up on its own! Add the tail to the bottom of the center back, and the feet to the bottom front, about 8-10 st apart. Make sure you pin everything into place before sewing so you can make sure your duckling is able to sit on its own! And last but not least it’s time to add the wings on the sides of the body. I add them at a slight angle *pictured here*.

After all that sewing, you finally have yourself a cute little duckling! Thank you so much for joining me today for this pattern! If you loved it, please share it with your friends!
