I really love teddy bears and when I was going through my teddy bear crochet phase I decided I really wanted to challenge myself to make something that was bigger than a "mini" plush, so I decided to try to make a truly cuddle-sized teddy bear, which is how I ended up making a plush that is bigger than anything I've ever designed a pattern for.
When it came to designing this teddy I drew up a lot of designs before landing on this sort of vintage look and I love how it turned out! This teddy is about 13 inches tall, which is about double the size of most of my other creations, so it was a little outside of my comfort zone, but I think it was worth venturing out of my comfort zone in the end!
